The property was recently sold. This a 2.8 acre site with 174 apartments and lots of parking, so I assume it will be replaced. I found this ad in a 1960 edition of the Los Angeles Times but can't figure out how to upload the image. I absolutely agree Dustycajun, that is such a cool sign. It would be awesome if it was still around. I quickly looked at google street view, and it looks like the Pico Lanai still exists, and their logo has a small Hawaiian flower, so, a small nod to it's past, but, no sign. I would make a drive to the place if the sign was still there !!
