I used to take foreign visitors to see it when it was used as a porn theater in the 80s. It is spectacular. Have not been in it for a while, hope the years of night clubbing have not ruined it. The Mayan Revival style of the 1920s can easily be seen as predecessor to Tiki style, and architect/archeologist Robert B. Stacy-Judd is one of my idols (he did not design the Mayan, but other cool examples in LA) diLucha Va Voom direct from Mexico... That looked like it was very cool. A couple of pictures are on the site, though. Did anyone ever get a chance to catch it?
