This was forwarded on to me from a friend: Hi Gang, At the paper show yesterday, one of the dealers (the guy in the ballcap who calls everyone.. 'hey bu---ddy') told me he salvaged a bunch of discarded furniture from the TIKI SPA in Palm Springs, which is remodeling. "Original tiki furniture" is how he described it. Not to take the excitement out of this, but I was in the office and the rec room of the Tiki Spa several times before it was sold, and saw very little worth saving. And the rooms were occupied by crack dealers before the closing... What I wanna know much more is B.) WHAT is happening to the whole place? Outrigger beams being sawed off (BOT p.22) already, I did not have much hope for it.... |

I remember staying there when I was a kid. I don't really remember there being much Tiki decor, but I could be wrong as I was probably 8 years old and didn't have an interest in Tiki at the time. But ya, what's the status of Tiki Spa? |
