"Stich! The Movie" & Tiki

My Gran'daughter loves "Stich! The Movie," so I've watched it about 1/2 a dozen times the past week & was wondering: Does anyone know if the Tiki-fied terrace from the Bird of Paradise Hotel really exists or was modeled on a real place? With it's Tiki posts holding up a bamboo lattice with paper lanterns hanging from it I thought it was a beautiful looking place that deserved a closer look if it really exists.

I haven't seen that Stitch movie, but I did happen to catch a few episodes on sat. mornings. One episode that i remember was a x-mas one. The older sister (or was it aunt can't remember) was looking around an open mall for a present. She asked a man if he had any shrunken heads. The guy then replied "mam, that's south american, not hawaiian". Just thought it was funny they where trying to be PC. I was thinking many kids have never seen shrunken heads (real, plastic, or vincent price apples).

BTW Project #626 looks like my pit bull puppy when we play "monster".
