MOC Stickers?

I have about a dozen tiki mugs, and almost half of them have a pretty little sticker on the bottom in the shape of a diamond flower, with M - O - C printed on it.

You may have answered this before, but I was wondering what this sticker indicates, and should I preserve them? If so HOW? I am afraid they will wash off.

Greetings from another Maryland tikiphile! The gold foil stickers you speak of actually say OMC, short for Otagiri Manufacturing Company. I would resist the urge to remove the stickers or better yet, send all your mugs to me and I'll help you fight temptation! :wink:

You will find that in most cases, those stickers will withstand a direct hit from an ICBM. Think about how many high pressure industial chlorine kitchen washers they've been through. You can't stop them.
