TEAM PINEAPPLE: see us ride from SF to LA!!!

Pages: 1 7 replies

Hi everyone - as mentioned every time you see me, or TikiBot, we're riding
the AIDS Lifecycle, to raise money for the SF AIDS Foundation! it's in 2
weeks, and it's from San Francisco to Los Angeles (June 6 - 12th) A few
months ago we had a big party to raise money and the people in the Tiki
Community overwhelmed us with their generosity and support. If you are
interested in finding out if we ride through your town, I'm posting the
campsites, (and miles we ride, just so you'll be impressed!) We'll be in LA,
staying in West Hollywood, on the Sunday after the ride (June 13th) and
leaving Monday morning. We'd love to meet up for cocktails, food,
therapeutic massages, on Sunday, and maybe Saturday night, (closing
ceremonies are late, and we might be tired...so we're playing it by ear!)
Let us know if you are interested and we'll send more info. If you happen to
live in or near these towns, check your local paper for info. on the ride. I
know that Santa Barbara has a big BBQ for the riders in the middle of town,
they have a big group that participates, and they roll out the red carpet,
with ice-cream, dogs, etc. So keep your ears perked, and watch for
PINEAPPLES in the road! GO TEAM PINEAPPLE!!

Have a smooth ride!
:)

That would be very cool!

We leave from USF on Sunday morning early, probably around 7 am. I think the route will go out through GG park from USF, and out PCH to Skyline, but I'm not sure. They don't publicize the exact route before the ride, so we find out that morning. But it's safe to say somewhere's near USF :) if you look around for signs that say "bicycles in roadway" you'll be on the route! We'll look for you!

my wife did this ride more than a few years back...her first words after she got off the bike were "i'll NEVER do that again"

now that we are parents she wishes she had time to do it...she'll always remember it very fondly and as an adventure!

GO TEAM PINEAPPLE!!!
