Does anyone know anything about this mug????

I found this mug at a flea market. It has a "Quon Quon - Japan" sticker on the bottom which looks old. Does anyone know anything about it, the company or it's age? Thanks!

Here's something I've found on Quon Quon here on TC:

A little more info...I've seen other pieces in this style such as an even shorter coffee cup. Also, there is another Japanese manufacturer called Quon Quon who may be related to Tahiji somehow. Many of their mugs feature the exact same handle detail as well as other telling characteristics. OK, that's probably too much information now....my geekiness is showing.

Thanks, FF. I had seen that, but was thinking more in line with the age of it, and anything else. Thanks, though. :)

stray piece of info - a contemporary version is available as the "JEWEL-EYE TIKI"

or did you already know that...

I did not know that. Thanks for the info JD (and FF)!

More trivia on that mug design: In my brief, anal-retentive quest to figure out how to tell actual Orchids of Hawaii mugs from their descendants, I chatted with Myriah Bates of Myriah's Polynesian Bazaar last year and she told me that her supplier for the the "jewel-eyed tiki" was a Dallas-area company called Zoo Piks, and that they had just gone out of production. I was surprised that Dynasty Wholesale was not the supplier as they seem to use most of the old OoH molds.
I suppose you know that the Orchids of Hawaii R-3 is pictured in Tikiquest, p.16, and that your (later?) version by Quan Quan is shown on page 60. I don't know which came first as everyone seemed to copy from each other back then; you'd have to ask Duke or one of the other tiki mug sages here.
