They'd rather make a re-make of a movie that was so perfect how can it be improved upon? I think it's the train wreck effect, let's go and see how horrible this movie can be. It irks me to no end to see the amount of re-makes and sequels of bad movies that are coming out, all of which budgets' could fund a third world country...
