Going off the photos, assuming they're authentic, one can surmise a few things about the crime. The fatal shot came from behind him, and to the right. The shooter was in an elevated location. After entering the victm's head the bullet turned right, sank, and exited just below the, uh, neck... he has a neck?

It's obviously a professional hit, this guy knows how to wreck a Tiki mug. That guy in custody is just a patsy, no amateur Tiki mug klutz does this. No, this damage was done by an expert. Given the extent of damage, it's a crime of passion, this person wanted to destroy that Tiki. I am thinking a secret group of hired assassins, perhaps in cahoots with some well-heeled collectors hoping to drive up the market value of certain Tiki collectibles.

Either that, or Polynesian Pop did it.
