"I Am Cuba" is a fascinating and visually stunning movie. I've heard that the tiki bar scenes, which come early in the movie, where filmed at the Trader Vic's; however, it looks too much like a sound stage set, perhaps inspired by the Trader Vic's. The Trader Vic's is now run by the gubment, naturally, and is called El Polinesio. A trip to Cuba sounds compelling! You've got my ears perked. |
