Petitions won't help anything, unfortunately.

The only thing that counts anymore in this society is dollars.

If you want to vote to keep Hala Kahiki stable, then vote with your wallet.

Go there often enough that the profit coming in outweighs any possible offer from real estate investors to buy the property.

Otherwise, as soon as someone waves a check in the HK owner's faces that is big enough, they're outta there.

I am not saying that the HK owners are money-grubbing or greedy. In fact, they love their family-owned business, and are great people. But a fat enough check and the possiblity of the good life at a relatively early age will make just about anyone reconsider.
