I was with a friend's girlfriend who came up from San Diego to attend a seminar at a hotel by LAX and he asked me to take her out and show her a good time (I can handle that).Turned out Black Flag wasn't her idea of fun (must be an aquired taste). Don't get me wrong, I didn't take her there to torture her. She said she liked punk rock, but I think she was talking about Elvis Costello or the New Romantics. At any rate we split after about half an hour and moved on to Madam Wong's in Chinatown where we drank Tsing taos till 3:00. The dragon lady closed at 1:45 and let us stay another hour drinking on the house. All I could think about was "I wonder if she's going to have the bouncers throw me down the stairs like Charlie Quintana (Plugz drummer).
