Fantastic! I love reading threads like this as much as I love reading feedback on Ebay. Seriously. It's a great way to spend some time at work when you don't really want to do anything. Read the feedback for the sellers of items on your watchlist. I've decided a few times that after reading the feedback that some things just weren't worth the potential hassle.
My one fun Ebay story-- I bought two mugs, $1 each, seller says he combines shipping. I wound up paying like $15, not including insurance. Insurance wasn't even an option-- I'm thinking this means that insurance will be purchased no matter what-- I mean they were tiki mugs, and ceramic can/will break. So, I get the mugs, one in three pieces, and one with some chips on it. The mugs were wrapped in one piece of bubble wrap, right next to each other so they could bump against each other each time they were moved. No wonder one of them breaks.
So I email the seller-- I say, what gives? $15 for shipping and I get one piece of bubble wrap and no insurance! Shipping cost was like $4. So much for combining shipping. Looks like this was one of those people who tries to make up for low money auctions by fleecing at the post office. Crazy.
