Okay, here's the news as of late. The owner of the property is looking to level the property in about 2 years and put up more of a starbucks type plaza. However, in the meantime he wants to lease the current property (Sam's) and continue to run it as a restaurant. I'm not sure of all the legal stuff, but the building (and hopefully everything inside) will remain standing for at least 2 years.
Believe it or not, there are interested parties in leasing the property in the mean time. He does not want to let it sit vacant (He's making no money on the property that way) Locals should still keep an eye out in case anything goes wrong with any of the deals.
If you're interested in leasing the property temporarily, I can get you the phone # to call, but I really don't want the owner to be pestered by a bunch of tikiphiles asking the same questions about the decor. I would prefer to stay on his good side in hopes that he'll give us deals on the remaing decor when he's ready to bulldoze it.

Eventually the decor will have to go, but for now let's hope someone reopens and keeps sam's alive for a little while.
