The experiment continues.... (Planters Rum Punch) - Tiki Drinks and Food

It was my first drink with Pernod. I was very careful to pour into the 1/8 teaspoon measurer in the sink and not over the drink itself. Used Myers Dark Jamaican rum and cheapo "Prestige" light Puerto Rican. I ran out of limes and had to use Realime juice instead of fresh. I didn't much care for this one. Interestingly, when I took the first sip immediately after mixing it, it tasted super strong and yucky. But after a couple minutes I went back, and it had mellowed a lot. Better, but still not good in my opinion. I'll have to try another Pernod drink to see if that's what I didn't like. Suggestions on a good one???
