I hope you all don't mind a newbie putting in his 2c, I've never met Bosko or Shag or to the best of my knowledge, any of the Tiki pioneers of late, but as I see it the interest is a cultural appreciation of the Art, and an exchange of ideas and of the friendships made along the way. I have nothing but admiration for all that have carved before me, and alongside with me, and those to come. But I can safely say that just at the chops I've attended I've met some of the most talented, knowlegable, and personable folks this community has to offer, and thank you folks for having me! As I browse through the posts on this forum I'm AMAZED at the quality of workmanship by so many talented folks around the world, all sharing the same cultural interests, that I can't keep up with it all!

The bottom line of my thoughts are that if you are involved in this Art form, revel in it, enjoy it for what it does for you. I don't cut wood or stone for profit nor do I intend to, but I do know how it makes me feel doing it, and how much I enjoy the learning process from all of you talented folks. And that's all I have to say "bout that!
