Aloha Ohana!
What a Great marshmallow Fluff of a night at the Tonga hut last Saturday! A big Mahalos to the artists and friends who came down! The folks mostly went home with ink drawings,more than anything else...my biggest thrill was TraderTom and Ileen taking home the Tiki Alphabet for their soon to be baby boy's Tiki Nursery! :D It's these kind of things that really make all the blood,sweat and Mai-Tais worth it!
Can't wait til November 2nd where i'll get to see all these folks and MORE!
(except Bo-Bo....he's being a lil' stinker!)
But now..it's been 10 days since I've replied to you all! Sooooo.......

"King of Cannibal Island" the painting ...is finished! I still gotts dremel the frame tho!
And whaddyaknow? TikiRay bought me one of those pencil size attachments for the dremel so i can carve smaller and tighter! thanks RAY!

Also finally Totally finished up "the Lonely Island"s frame!
What a pain to dremel! But i did! Got lots of wood particle boogers!
(decided to fore-go the mask....bad idea!)
After it was carved-i stained it brown-buffed some off and applied
some green to the outer edges.....i kinda like it...it's got a cool weathered
vibe to it now...like the wind and ocean have been battering it! mmmmm batter!

Also stained the burlap matting to more green brown.....better!
And ready for November 2nd! :D
Also bought some ENAMEL paint and stuff! Didn't get one-shot as it was
$13 a can and daddy just wants to practice! So i decided to practice on a
Pupule mug and did the eyes in a cream! so far so good! more scoop later!

And lastly...remember this piece?

Well, i sharpied in some detail and bleached out some color for the next round...

and also started up these 3 shields....
