Thanks to Damons and thanks to everyone who turned out tonight!!!

Considering that the regular bartender wasn't told ahead of time that I was going to be sharing his space as a "Guest Bartender" things went surprisingly well.

I'm used to my little home bar where I can be as sloppy as I want and where I know just where everything is. This was a very different experience, but gave me a new appreciation for what full-timers go through. Among other things, I'm glad I brought my New York Bartending guide so when some guy asked me for a Kamikaze Martini, I could look it up.

Boris, thanks for the great pics!

Kelly, thanks for being such a great supporter, even if I didn't make your drinks fruity enough.

Cheeky Girl, thanks for coming out!

John, I owe you a mega-size Zombie from my home bar. The bottle of Pernod that Damon's had obviously hadn't been opened in years. I couldn't get the cap off to get at the 6 drops at the bottom and when I tried to substitute Sambuca for a licorice kick, I was so flummoxed I put way too much in! Not to mention there wasn't anything around for the special cinnamon additive (as per Sippin Safari). That drink really got away from me. Mahalo for the patience! If I was at home, I would have dumped it out and started over...

However, I think the Sailor Jerry (Sailor Tom) Rum Mai Tai for Boris turned out surprisingly well. I will be making more of those in the future!!!

Mahalos to everyone mentioned and not mentioned who supported this bartender in training! :)
