Here's a link to a post I made in the Orgeat Syrup Brands thread a few months back. Before I was able to find almond milk in a box around here, I used to use Teisseire, a French orgeat that I would order from a Jawja company called Touch of Europe. It's not bad for storebought; not as good as emergency.

As for RCS, it's so incredibly easy to make, why buy someone else's? Anything you buy in the store has to have preservatives to maintain a long shelf life. Homemade does not. That goes for orgeat as well. As for RCS, when you make your own, you control the quality of the water and the sugar as well as their proportions. These days I'm making mine with turbinado, which is darkish to begin with, but when it goes into drinks it doesn't do much to alter the color. But if color is an issue, I'd just use evaporated cane juice crystals, which is pretty light.
