We live in Torrance (next to Redondo Beach) part of Los Angeles county. Yes we have "June Gloom" overcast skys in the mornings. But things usually clear up at about 12p or 1p. And if you drive a little inland (approx 5 miles) you'll start to have sunshine. My wife and I usually drive on down to Palm Springs everyother weekend to enjoy the sun. So it's not as bad as some people think. But the beach areas this time of year are "hit and miss" days.
