Mel, the people who were running this even were very pleased with the way things turned out, so if you want to see one at another Sams location, bug the Sams managers about it, and we'll see what happens.

Tipsy, yeah, thanks for removing the shittiest pic of me ever taken.
Ouch!
Yeah, I know it was all in fun.
No worries.

Numa - hey I didn't realize you guys were TC-ers when we chatted.
The lady from North Shore was named Sonja.

Here's the Rio Gimlet (as posted a few weeks ago on another thread):

My pal wanted a Gimlet.
I am happy to oblige all requests, but (naturally) I refuse to buy Rose's lime swill.
So I began to make a lime syrup of fresh lime juice and simple syrup. Then I got the idea to use John D. Taylor's Velvet Falernum instead of simple syrup.
Came out pretty good, but of course it is not a Gimlet, so I had to give it a new name.
Could have called it a Barbados Gilet (since JDT's Falernum is made in Barbados), but I called it a Rio instead, just to be cryptic.
Now the cat is out of the bag!

Rio Gimlet
1.5 gin,
1 Taylor's Falernum,
.75 lime,
1 dash orange bitters.
Shake with ls of ice and strain into cocktail glass.
