I missed the sunset today, so here's yesterday:

Today was hotel day again. Here was today's setup:

I worked on the drum while I was there, as well as spent some time with my mom and Zaya, who came to visit me while I was at work. It was kind of slow this time, but I did make a sale to some people from England who knew Tikiracer and Pocketiki. It really impressed them when I told them I was "friends" with Crazy Al and made up a bunch of stories about how we carve tikis and act all nutty and stuff together. I felt like an international celebrity. I promise I won't let it go to my head like that Bono guy though.

I found an old Benzart sticker the other day that I didn't know I had. I made a new sign out of it. There it is next to many of my fine products:

I wish my sticker machine still worked. Those things were fun, sometimes.

Here was the progress on the drum before I worked on it at the hotel:

Three little heads like this one:

Three legs done like this:

I also decided to hollow it out all the way and take out as much material as possible:

I started on the abstract designs around the drum part but right now it's still in the truck-so no pictures yet. I'll do more on it tonight. Hopefully i'll finish it tonight and can get the hide this weekend.

I also started two more tiki stick on a rope pendant things:
One is all drawn out and ready to go. The other one I carved a real quick one to warm up last night before I did the drum:

Something Wicked This Way Comes... Mr. Dark (see ya at the Oasis)

Holy Crap! That has to be the most beautiful thing I have ever layed my eyes on, and I haven't even really seen it yet! Unfortunately, the English language has not evolved enough to have a word to express how cool that thing is yet! All i can say is cool! I'm speechless, for once...I think I may have to fire up the time machine and go to next week because I CANNOT WAIT! Get on the BULLET train, fast!

Thanks Akuae! He seemed to carve himself. I don't even remember doing it. I think I've been on carving auto pilot for about two months now. Good thing I have a camera for a memory...

That a kool ku Buzzy; want to trade him for some rare mugs I picked up from a San Diego carver? :D

You know, everyone makes fun of those, but everyone has them. As soon as you can't get them, then everyone will want them and they'll be valuable. I'll be 75 years old soon and I'll log on to TC and say I have all these mugs I found in my garage from 35 years ago and there will be a twenty page list of people saying " I'll take two sets of those please...." Then I'll spend my immense profits on a sex tourist vacation to Thailand.

Buzzy your latest is very good, keep up the good work.

Why thank you very much Hiltiki and I hope you are surviving the heat these days. It was humid here today and that caused me to perspire profusely.

Buzzy, nice job on the Ku! I'm really liking the drum too, can't wait to see that finished (hilarious picture).

Thanks TF. Bono wants the world to be fed; I want the world to be entertained. And what is more universally entertaining than bathroom humor! Another slam dunk! I need my own shoe line now...

Thanks G$! was good catchin up with you the other day. Glad you caught the pic. But, was it Aaaaack! worthy? UFC weekend a commeth... I hate it when two fighters I like fight. GSP vs fitch? Really don't want either to lose.

One more thumbs way up on the Ku. $

thanks for the stamp of approval! just don't do that thumbs up thing in California because there might be a law against that kind of behavior here. I think it's because someone hitchhiking might get killed if a bad murderer person picked him/her up. It's a safety thing. A couple more of the right laws and people will stop dying here all together.

I Look at that KU and I wonder where you learned all this stuff from, You are a Natural. Actually it takes Practice is what Always say and No one does than more than you do Buzzy.
You are doing some Awesome stuff and could even do More, but I do understand .

First: Nice new shoes! the lengths you'll go to to get out of doing real work. Sheesh... Thanks for understanding, but every once in a while I'll still slip one by, just to show you. I think the key is to never accept what you've done as being good enough. Other people may not even see it, but if you know...well...YOU know what I'm talking about...I'll just go back to doing my thing. Practicing...

I need more practice...
Buzzy Out!
