And to not only make this a Mauna Loa thread, but as Zeta suggested, a worldwide (x-ept America and Polynesia) Tiki thread, here two shots I recently received from a German journalist, from his family album. There is an amusement park near Cologne called Fantasialand. I myself shot an action movie there in the mid-90s, and remember noticing some carved railing posts that smelled like Tiki to me -but nothing else.

Turns out they used to have a full fledged South Seas attraction with Hawaiian restaurant that all disappeared in the 80s:

Funny how the Tiki looks Milan Guanko-style, they must have copied it from an American theme park
