I have seen lots of really sweet lamps that folks have made so I thought I would give it a try...

During a trip to the Goodwill I found this basket and was thinking this would make a nice bird perch, like several I have seen folks make here.
Then I thought why not make it a lamp too. So off to the Home Depot for a swag kit and bulb, 30 min later I have my first lamp!!!

A little more detail and a piece of bamboo to hide the chord.

Lit up, the camera doesn't like the dark and the red but you get the idea.
