I feel this was the same problem with one of my favorite tiki restaurants here in Columbus, OH - Tropical Bistro. They had great drinks and great food. What they were lacking (besides a good location) was the sense that when you walked into the restaurant, you left Columbus and entered Bora Bora. The illusion is part of the magic. If Trader Vic's follows this recipe, they will be declaring bankruptcy as well soon. |
