In this morning's mail I was delighted to see a copy of The Beachcomber Trio Live From Kahiki, which had been sent directly to me from none other than Jeff Chenault! Not only did he scrounge up a copy for me, but it comes with the low, low, number of 4/500 and he was generous enough to send it free of charge.

Considering my previous beef was with Dionysus, and not with Jeff in any way, this was waaaay beyond the call of duty.

The record plays perfectly, front to back, and as I've said before, is a spectacular recording. There are still some available on amazon and ebay, so if you're on the fence, buy it while you still can. It's a real treasure, with a fantastic time machine vibe.

I don't know how to express my gratitutde, other than to offer a solemn vow that, if the tracks from the other tapes ever see the light of day, I will be first in line to purchase!
