I've been lurking for about a year now, after I started planning my own tiki room. I've made much more progress on learning about tiki drinks and exotica than actual construction/decorating, though. Not that I'm complaining... I just went to the Tikiyaki Orchestra show at Don the Beachcomber last weekend, and had such a good time that I had to make an account. :D Thanks already to you all for your insights and knowledge! There are probably lots of other people like me out there who have read lots here, but haven't participated... yet.
