The lashing cord on the hook I have is not artificial sinew. I have some of that from earlier projects. The lashing is round cord and the necklace cord spiral and not the typical three or four strand braid. I'm looking for a source to purchase the same type of lashing and cord found on the high end Makau that are hand crafted vs. massed produced. I have carved some Maori (Matau) style hooks and have some of the black cord used on those.
