Few can lay claim to have been a more influential Mid-Century icon than Colonel Harland Sanders. Can I get an "amen"?!

Today, the Japanese have a far greater recognition of this fact than Americans, apparently, which is why The Colonel's food is a central part of their Christmas holiday celebrations.

Fittingly, most KFC restaurants in Japan boast life-size statues of Him, which are frequently dressed up for particular events.






I, for one, would like to emulate the Japs in regards to this tradition, in lieu of festooning a predictable Xmas tree.

First, however, I must obtain one of these statues. Anyone living in, or going to, Japan like to send me one? I'll gladly pay for His airplane seat.

The Adoration of The Colonel is a holiday the whole family can sink their teeth into. Remember, it's not every holiday deity that also comes in extra crispy!

I'm not the only one who thinks He could easily fit in with tiki...
