Aloha, I went to the closing auction of the Chief's Hut with Gecko and Freddie (House of Ku.) There was VERY little there. Some of the bamboo and fixings went to a short lived coffee place across from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
The Outrigger Reef had a very nice display of masks and artifacts on loan from the Bishop Museum for a few months following construction/renovation of the Chief's Hut in 2006. As spaces started to lease, the displays disappeared. |
