More party and RSVP info!

Note, please RSVP via Paypal or email. The event address will be listed here and on the Texas Tiki email list a few days before the party (or message me). This is not a public party, but those who RSVP are welcome to invite a few friends who you trust and know will be respectful that this is our home. Just let me know how many are coming in your RSVP so I can plan accordingly. We organize this party ourselves simply for the love of Polynesian Pop. We ask only for a suggested donation of $20 per person to help us cover some of the costs. We couldn't do this without you! You can Paypal in advance or pay cash at the door. Paypal is preferred, esp. if you don't want to think about it that night (and will help me buy more booze). Just log into your Paypal account, select Send Money and enter this email: [email protected]. This isn't my regular email so please email me directly with any questions at [email protected].

When is the party?
September 13th 7pm-very late

Where is it?
The Enchanted Lagoon, Austin, Tx (address given later)

Who is invited?
Tiki Centralites, Texas Tikiphiles on email and Facebook, and friends of those

Are kids invited?
This is essentially an adult party. We have a large yard that is dark with multiple water features that are not fenced in any way. There is no lifeguard and our house is not childproofed. We have quite a bit of booze flowing, the music will get loud and burlesque will be happening in the later hours. That being said, if you cannot find a sitter for the keikis, we will not turn you away!

Is it free?
We're asking for a suggested donation of $20 per person to help cover some of the costs. We don't make a profit. So for what is essentially the price of two drinks downtown you get free food and drinks, golfing, swimming and entertainment.

So what's happening?
Fabulous bands, dj, hula and burlesque on the lanai. And food and tiki drinks, tiki mini-golf, swimming, lounging in the upstairs tiki room, dancing and hula hooping.

What to wear?
Wear your vintage aloha shirts and tiki dresses, or anything tropical. Bring your swimsuit if you'd like to dip in the lagoon. Ladies, comfortable shoes are suggested for the uneven terrain, and spikes aren't allowed on the golf greens.

What to bring?
As always, we encourage everyone to bring a food or drink item to share. That would be awesome, and is greatly appreciated, but not required. Bring your swimsuit and towel (seriously. Put it in the car. Everyone changes their mind after a few drinks and wants to jump in) and a hula hoop if you like (or buy one from Cedar!).

Do you need any help?
Why, yes. Glad you asked. We could definitely use more volunteers. We could use some help the day before setting up, and the night of the party it will all be easy tasks that are less than an hour. Maybe as easy as making sure we still have ice and the torches stay lit. Please let me know if you're willing to lend a hand.

And please, please RSVP so that we can purchase food and drink appropriately.

Email me at [email protected] if you have any questions. Mahalo!
