I live in Hilo, Hawai'i, and I make lu'au torches (at least that's what I called them all my life until recently, but that's another thread.) I grew up around tiki bars - but my crowd didn't call them that at the time. We just called them by the name of the bar, no generic term I remember. Anyway, I had a great time a couple of weeks ago when a friend took me to La Mariana, the last of O'ahu's great tiki bars. I really would like to take my hula dancers there and do a show!
