The ice tray idea is ingenious. Got the ice tray idea from AceExplorer. I found these plastic trays at my local grocer for pretty cheap. They release the frozen cubes really cleanly and easily without chipping. When the cubes thaw they're exactly 1/2 ounce so I just pull how many I know I'm gonna need and I toss em in a shot glass to thaw about an hour before I plan to make drinks.
