Kinny, thanks for all the fabulous artifact pictures from the National Gallery of Victoria, really enjoyed seeing them. Love your art work and that goes without saying. follow you on Instagram and your new pieces are better than ever.

Thank you my dear! I was happy to be able to share some of the treasures there... There's just SO much work out there, such variety and primitive brilliance in each piece! The Instagram thing is fun.... Kind of low maintenance and a great way to share the work with folks outside of our Ring of Cool here! :)

Okay... So y'all remember those woodburns and drawings a few years back, inspired by figures on a Solomon island paddle?
No?
Well, i do,and about a month and a half ago
decided to invite
Jim Flora,Mary Blair,Leonard Weisgard,and Alex Steinweiss
to this improvisational art stew
playing with the way they abstracted objects,
achieved texture and distance,
played with shapes and negative space,
set an emotional tone with color
made art GRAPHIC
blurred the lines between artist and designer
and came up with these pieces i will now share with you

ANYWAYS.....
these are the pieces that were born from this
"throw a bunch of styles in a blender
and fine tune it
and stylize it further
and make something new"
jag...
