I am NOT getting into any self-driving car period! Yes humans can and do make mistakes, but in an emergency when a very quick reaction to a rapidly escalating situation is necessary, give me the human brain anytime. For a start the "vision" of driverless cars can be seriously distorted by reflective surfaces such as aluminium caravans and such.

There's even talk now of "pilotless" passenger planes. Sorry, I want somebody in charge up the pointy end! Serious computer glitches have happened on planes already, and the only reason that the same plane has managed to land safely was due to the diligent intervention and skill of very human pilots.
