Kajagoogoo was another story..but they had a great bass player, that's for sure!!!
I worked briefly for their fan club (when I lived in London in '84). Honest.

I have the beads from Nick Begg's - the bass player's - hair.

I am not kidding.

No way! Really?

Nick Beggs is one of my all -time favorite pop bassists..I always liked that guy, and now he is a top session bass player and teacher in England..

I recently read an interview where he said that as a teenager, his favorite bass player was Chris Squire from YES...which I could relate to, since I went from loving YES, RUSH and KING CRIMSON to new wave, and then on to Jazz and Big Band...and finally the Smokin' Menhunes!! (which are my current favorites, besides The Mai-Kai Gents, the King, and APE of course)

Save those beads! They will be worth something...

Perhaps you can answer this question: Has Nick Beggs ever been involved in the Porno industry? He makes certain references in some of his interviews..either he is joking, or he had a second "career"!!

How is this for a dream band?:

Tony Hadley-Vocals
Nick Beggs-Bass
Nick Rhodes-Keyboards
the edge-guitar
Terry Bozzio-drums
