Tiki Central / Collecting Tiki / Harvesting a Tiki from Concrete

Let's suppose, um, someone found a bunch of old carved Tikis. The owner of said carvings is willing to give them up, but some of them are anchored in concrete (surrounded by soil.) Would you take a chainsaw to the base? or try to preserve it by sledgehammering?

Just a hypothetical question, no real reason.
