Thumper,
Where in Nevada are you? I spent six years in Gardnerville. Ever go to Trader Dick's?
Mahalo,

I live in Reno...and I have been to traders at the nugget once to have a drink before dining on an awful awful burger.
I have had my share of Mai Tais ( hawaian for dumb shit..LOL). Im known for drinking to much(is there a such thing?), aww but...isnt that what the whole tiki lifestyle is about? Partying? Give me some rum and I will mix it with anything. Infact I go to parties with my own bottle..maybe thats why I dont get invited back..funny, I dont remember ever doing anything wrong..LOL ;-P

The origin of thumper. I used to box and I played defense on a all mens hockey team. Now I still ride 4 stroke motorcycles commonly refered to as thumpers. So I ride thumpers and used do alot of thumping. Thats my take on it, my friends from back home may have a different story.

Hubby and I are currently trying to complete our tiki themed living room. I should have a few pix in a couple months when everything is done and completed.
Still trying to find a good, unique tiki bar that wont break the bank..
But I still love this one...ever since I saw it three years ago..

Thanks for letting me ramble!

I couldn't agree more. Oddly, my name is Lisa and I too once lived in Incline Village. Frankly, I hated it. But I always enjoyed Carson City and Reno...must go visit soon!!

Hmmm should I take the fact that everyone "used" to live around here as a hint?
LOL
Yes the awful awful burgers are the best and for the price cant beat it...the best drunk food in town.
I dont spend to much time at bars persay..as I do at casino bars..where you stick a 20 in plink away at the black jack machine inserted into the bar top which you never lose at..and stumble away drinking a total of 15-25 top shelf drinks for free..costing you nothing but the tip..
Now that, thats why I love Reno.
Only thing about Casino bars is they dont know jack about mixology..so you gotta teach them..
One of my favs is a nuts and berries..but its a creamy sipper, after dinner dessert drink.
Other wise Im drinking cyclone sunrises to chase shots of chilled tuaca...
