Hey Dave, remember that time when you went to the Tiki Farm yard sale? And bought a wig? A wig with a chinstrap? And then you put it on, and ran around? And we all laughed and laughed and.... oh wait, that hasn't happened yet. ...Stupid! |

I was thinking of it as Max Ernst gets Lost in Space, but then that describes Klaus Nomi pretty well! Billy - bro, that was done in like 4 sessions, the rest was waiting fer the paint to dry! Penny says hi. She's kinda grumpy today. |

These lamps are freaky excellent! Does that last one have 3 lights inside, or what? ZorMok is finished. All chisel and hand sanding, no power of any kind used here. He's been walking around a lot, but I caught him in the garden looking inscrutable, cripes, he's always looking inscrutable - Laytah! |

More swag - I've been playing around with Scrimshaw etching on Abalone shells. Little Tiki faces and umbrella drinks on polished Abalone, with speckled jade accent beads. These are pretty flashy in the sun. And a closeup of the one in the top left, it's named after the group, "Pink Martini". Pink shell with matching red coral accent beads. And a teeny leetle olive! Don't forget the TC discount, just say "BANANAMAN" to me real quietly (don't let everybody know the secret word) and I hack money off the price! |

Aloha, here are some pictures of Ramba-Zamba`s prints and of my Tiki carvings. That Tiki is about 20 inch high and was carved out of chestnut wood and colored with teak wood stain. And this Marquesan Tiki is also about 20 inch high carved from massive cottonwood. And here the both together: "The Grandfather & The Beatnick" That´s the prints of Ramba-Zamba: "Red Red Sky" printed digitally on canvas "Island at Night" "Surfing The Sun" And at last his tree shrunken head offset prints. Thanks a lot! We wish you a great time and a funny Tiki weekend. |

Is he food safe?
Do they come in clip-ons for my virgin lobes?
Does he come with lessons? Because I still couldn't use a hook knife to carve if my life depended on it. (But I can use one to split bamboo.) And remember Buzzy, I'm a lefty. :D |

Aloha, Folks! I thought I'd go ahead and post a few things that I'll be bringing to the sale. Actually, I should say that I thought I'd post WHO I'm bringing... First Up: that new velvet artist sensation Robb Hamel. He made a special limited edition of FOUR ORIGINAL paintings for the sale. It's called "Sleeping Sentinel". To clarify: Robb HAND PAINTED four of these striking images on black-velvet. Each is the same, yet subtly different due to them each being painted by hand. There are only FOUR of these that will ever be painted by Robb. Once they are sold, they will never be repeated. Make sure that you stop by and grab one before they're gone! Next Up: Sopista-Tiki! |

Hookay- Here's the hyper-link to Dawn's page of Fantastic Art: http://www.tikicentral.com/viewtopic.php?topic=17407&forum=18&start=135&149 Dawn's art is the most wonderful, adorable, facinatingly fun art I've seen since Mary Blair, and I'm honored to represent her this weekend. You'll want to purchase a few of them and make a grouping; they make awesome focal-points on your wall! Here's a few more shots of her work. Photos just don't do 'em justice. I've got them right here and they look stunning in person!
I'll have originals as well as prints, so there'll be something great for everyone. See ya at the sale! |
