No Dear...
that was one of the few non-jokes in that thread....
I don't have a cel-phone (for personal and political reasons)
so no access to Paypal at the Sale....
and no Credit Card machine either....
I'm kind of a Luddite like that....

I WILL take checks, but ONLY if if I know you real well
or have done business with you in the past....

sorry!

the good news is that about 80% of the work
will be in the 20 to 50 buck range...

and $12 Coloring Books and prints!

Also, i'll have 4 or 5 Clearview folders filled with
affordable drawings and ink pictures!

Here's some pages from the coloring book
that some of the chillens will get to color in the Coloring area!

We will have many lovely HUMAN HAIR Wigs and Hair products!

If you have any wigs with a chin-strap I'll take it.

MT

Hey Dave, remember that time when you went to the Tiki Farm yard sale? And bought a wig? A wig with a chinstrap? And then you put it on, and ran around? And we all laughed and laughed and.... oh wait, that hasn't happened yet. ...Stupid!

Hey Kennie - Love the white-line stuff.

I'm trying to finish ZorMok from the 7th Dimension for the sale.
Maybe 1 more carving session to dig out the bottom, and 1 more sanding.

I wanted to have litte ZorMoks running around too, but time's getting very short...

It's KLAUS NOMI Tiki!!!!

Fuckin'WOW, Cam!!!..........Fuckin' wow!!!!. Your stuff may be a long time coming, but it's always SO precise. Bravo, my Kanuk friend!

I was thinking of it as Max Ernst gets Lost in Space, but then that describes Klaus Nomi pretty well!

Billy - bro, that was done in like 4 sessions, the rest was waiting fer the paint to dry!

Penny says hi. She's kinda grumpy today.

Can't wait to see ZorMok from the 7th Dimension in 2 weeks!
love that little chin curl thing! Stylized,Simple, Elegant and odd...
Bravo!

M

A little something else I just finished for the Sale...

The elliptical wood pieces at the top and bottom are hand carved and painted.

Wow, Monkeyman, more awesome stuff...LOVE those lights.

Monkeyman that lamp is amazingly beautiful I want!!!!!

C

These lamps are freaky excellent! Does that last one have 3 lights inside, or what?

ZorMok is finished. All chisel and hand sanding, no power of any kind used here.

He's been walking around a lot, but I caught him in the garden looking inscrutable, cripes, he's always looking inscrutable -

Laytah!

Ingenious Cammo and fantastic finish job...

its all in how you execute the idea... great execution..

More swag -

I've been playing around with Scrimshaw etching on Abalone shells. Little Tiki faces and umbrella drinks on polished Abalone, with speckled jade accent beads. These are pretty flashy in the sun.

And a closeup of the one in the top left, it's named after the group, "Pink Martini". Pink shell with matching red coral accent beads. And a teeny leetle olive!

Don't forget the TC discount, just say "BANANAMAN" to me real quietly (don't let everybody know the secret word) and I hack money off the price!

J

Just wanted to mention that Holden has updated the details in the first post on the first page of this thread.

Another "just completed" lamp for your purchasing pleasure at the Tiki Farm Parking Lot sale

the mini glass float at the bottom is the actual pull chain to turn the light on and off.
made with real tapa cloth and hand tied wangei root on the outside.

Enjoy !!!

I still have more work to do... Later.

P

That fish trap lamp is truly fantastic.
A bow to the old with a new twist.

Super work, MM.

Dang you, Californicators, and all your events.

Aloha,

here are some pictures of Ramba-Zamba`s prints and of my Tiki carvings.
Tom Laura aka Big Toe will bring them to the parking lot sale.
I hope you will enjoy our work.

That Tiki is about 20 inch high and was carved out of chestnut wood and colored with teak wood stain.
The Tiki is polished with antique wax. The cane is a real Bone.

And this Marquesan Tiki is also about 20 inch high carved from massive cottonwood.
After I colored it with moorbrown wood stain, I polished the wood with antique wax.

And here the both together: "The Grandfather & The Beatnick"

That´s the prints of Ramba-Zamba:

"Red Red Sky" printed digitally on canvas
The black lines were first drawed by hand and then digitalized.
The illustration was coloured on the computer. The size of the canvas are 7.8 inch x 27.5 inch.

"Island at Night"

"Surfing The Sun"

And at last his tree shrunken head offset prints.
The size of the poster is 16.5 inch x 23.4 inch.

Thanks a lot! We wish you a great time and a funny Tiki weekend.
Looking forward to see some pics! :)

Does he come with lessons? Because I still couldn't use a hook knife to carve if my life depended on it. (But I can use one to split bamboo.) And remember Buzzy, I'm a lefty. :D

Buzzy, love that Cook Cock Cocktail Stirrer!

Some of the goods for the show I will have.

Teamed up with Miko. She did the carving and resin pieces based on my drawing. Pendants, $20 each, edition of 100.

Aloha, Folks!

I thought I'd go ahead and post a few things that I'll be bringing to the sale. Actually, I should say that I thought I'd post WHO I'm bringing...

First Up: that new velvet artist sensation Robb Hamel. He made a special limited edition of FOUR ORIGINAL paintings for the sale. It's called "Sleeping Sentinel".

To clarify: Robb HAND PAINTED four of these striking images on black-velvet. Each is the same, yet subtly different due to them each being painted by hand.

There are only FOUR of these that will ever be painted by Robb. Once they are sold, they will never be repeated. Make sure that you stop by and grab one before they're gone!

Next Up: Sopista-Tiki!

Hookay-

Here's the hyper-link to Dawn's page of Fantastic Art:

http://www.tikicentral.com/viewtopic.php?topic=17407&forum=18&start=135&149

Dawn's art is the most wonderful, adorable, facinatingly fun art I've seen since Mary Blair, and I'm honored to represent her this weekend. You'll want to purchase a few of them and make a grouping; they make awesome focal-points on your wall!

Here's a few more shots of her work. Photos just don't do 'em justice. I've got them right here and they look stunning in person!

I'll have originals as well as prints, so there'll be something great for everyone.

See ya at the sale!
