I tried to take a photo by candle light of my art piece surrounded by some of my favorite tikis, but all the camera picked up was this mysterious blob... The massive amount of aloha spirit must be interfering with the film somehow. I hope I can get this to work in time... |

Countdown - 10 minutes! So I'll go over the rules one last time. Artists will be showing one or two items right here on this thread, PLUS one Christmas Ornament each. The have between 6pm and 9pm Pacific Coast US Time to post. If you'd like the piece, just PM the artist. First to PM gets it. The artist and buyer work out their own shipping/payment terms, then it will be marked sold. Artists will try to keep their prices to less than half the gallery sales price. The Christmas Ornaments we're doing are really just for fun - I've already put about 10 clams and 2 1/2 hours of work into mine! Hope everybody is ready... READY??? |

Item #1 A one off hand glazed Tiki mug. The third one I have made so far. It's to commemorate the second anniversary of the San Diego Tiki Factory, which made its(my) debut at Tiki Oasis 6 in May of 2006. Yes it's a few months past the anniversary, but that just means that now it is technically "vintage." Here's the mug: It features a relief sculpt of the tiki face that I use for my official logo. It's based on a early carving I did of the tiki located at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in San Diego The tiki has a big bling chain on it homage to the Tiki Bob mug with the yellow ring around the white background That's not wood: It's clay glazed to look like wood: Chock full of info: I chose blue for the interior so that it would match Charger colors with the yellow chain. More San Diego tributes... It also comes with this limited edition matsching resin pendant, hand signed and numbered. It's #1 of 10 and has never been offered for sale And that's not all, the purchaser will also receive this big pile of Tiki Factory stuff
Gallery price: I'm too much of a miser to let someone else profit from my work, so there is no such thing as a gallery price for me Artist's price: $500 Next item is a CocoJoes lava plaque inspired piece made from clay. It's about 9" by 6"
Artist's price: $80 Last is the Xmas ornament. Pick any one of these guys for $20 and hang it on your tree. After xmas, put the supplied cord on it and wear it as a pendant to your favorite Tiki bar or event: Any purchase will also include a guest pass for a free meal good at any of the following locations: Old Country Buffet, Ryan's Grill Buffet Bakery, Hometown Buffet, Fire Mountain Hot off the grill, or Country Buffet. Actual retail value of this freebie will vary according to location. Buzzy Out! [ Edited by: Bay Park Buzzy 2008-12-16 01:33 ] |
