Cool and unique stuff there Kiki... Keep up the fine work!

P

Nice work, and idea. One additional thought, why not put some padding in spots on the tiki to make him somewhat 3d? Kind of like puffy paint? Cool work either way though.

Paul

Nice work. Good colors, design and fabrics. :)

Hey Kiki! I'm glad you posted some of your work. I was curious to see how it looks and I have to say it's TOO COOL! Great idea, I think it will just snowball from here.

I really like the tapa pattern along the bottom of the skirt - that's a nice touch. IMHO sometimes the subtlest touches are the ones that really bring the whole piece together.

Looking forward to seeing what else you have up your sleeve!

Looks good Kiki, very retro and vintage

too cute!
i know you got more to share with us....
:)

R

kawaii desu!!! :D

Post some more Kiki!

Rock on Kiki! I dig the tiki's style and the
off to the side placement. Also the tapa border.
I also think it would be great on different colors,
along with the white one. Maybe some secondary stitched or patched
on small flowers on the other side just for balance too. Keeping
the main focus on the tiki. Great purse!

Kiki:

Saw you and your Black Bamboo bag at the Don the Beachcomber party. How could I miss it? Good stuff! If we ever get around to having an art/gift/handicraft/whatever shop here, we'll have to have your work!

I really liked the skirt!! There are so few wearables in this venue! I want one! But no puffy, stuffing for me...I already have plenty.

Also, the first pattern set with the pattern #1923-set A... the hats! I love those! One in a retro or vintage barkclothe would be too cool! (They kinda remind me of my crazy Aunt's river hat back in the 60's-she also had one she made with the crochet and beer cans!)

Awesome mad sewing skills!

[ Edited by: Kiki von Tiki 2009-12-03 13:42 ]

my cousin wore one of those crochet beercan hats in the 70's!
You should make a BUDWEISER one for BooBen!
See ya Sunday!

Love the shape, print and hot color inside of the Chinese
lantern purse. Hard to see the new purse, but what I can see
of it is looking great. Post better shot when you get the chance.

Those are way cooler than even those cigar box purses. Nice stuff!

RH

Exeptional stuff, Kiki. I love usable art too.
