Nice. Finally a place where I can wear my Guayabera !! Aloha shirts are so over.

I hope to see lots of stuffed parrots and skull & crossbones. Tikis will be passe for the upcoming decade. Who needs a Hukilau when it's "Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate's life for me".

Goodbye Martin Denny, hello Jimmy Buffet. Ha, Ha. Just kidding (I hope).

Actually just serve me up a sweet Martiki cocktail. Everything else is just the window dressing. :)

I had finished an entire topic on "Where is Martin and what is he up to?". I decided not to post it thinking you would tell us in your own time. I am thrilled for you and know it will be the best. Good things happen to good people sometimes.

G

I hear a choir of angels singing... Oh wait, that's Donn and Vic. But believe me, they're singing!

Great news Martin! Can't wait to read all the good reviews I'm sure you'll get.

Yeah buddy.

Geoff! Jeez! Down Geoff, down! :)

There's wet t-shirt contests and draft beer?

I'm there.

T

This is the best news I've heard in a very long time, Martin.

I'm so looking forward to this.

"hidden link on the new project's web site, which leads to a "Lost"-like game with clues to where Smuggler's Cove will be."

Smuggler's Cove will expand the rum repertoire, wrapping in traditions from the Caribbean and particularly Cuba. It will also, according to a release, "include waterfalls, vintage nautical decor and rum memorabilia, and relics from some of San Francisco's most famous historic watering holes..">...Cate says he also wants to focus on some earlier traditions that have since been disregarded: "I think some of the old classics aren't explored very much." For instance, the El Presidente, a classic Havana cocktail, is "long overdue for a revisit," he says...

"And what of the much-loved/much-hated Rum & Coke? Could that get a thoughtful mixological revisit? "As long as you've got a bold rum that could come through and a really great cola," Cate says."

Okay Martiki, I'd love to join you on your cola sampling journey! That would be a delicious and caffeinated good time or at least it would be for the first 90 minutes.

CJ

I'm ecstatic! If I could only talk my girlfriend into moving back to the city.
