crap by GROG

Getting closer to shipping orders out.

Most of the Bobshots came out OK, a few need some minor touch ups.

The bowls are almost there. May be able to salvage these babies after all.

The Moais with lids/shotglasses are a bit too light. Gonna have to darken up the glaze on these guys.

The next glaze fire, GROG will have a test "glaze fix" on a Java Bob to see if the "runny mascara eyes" can be fixed.

Are you going to have any Top Knot/Shot Moais at the Tonga Hut this Sunday, Grog?

Tobor, GROG hope to have a couple. GROG have 6 that are orders, so the 5 in the above post are spoken for. GROG have 3 more that are greenware, so if GROG can finish them in time, then GROG will have two extra to bring to the show.

Touching up crap for orders and trying to get crap finished for the Tonga Hut Halloween art show.

Got my crap today, postal service gouged large hole in the box. I was worried but everything was fine.

Grog, what about making the lids "turn over & they hold 2 oz" shots? would that make them easier to glaze?

There wouldn't be room for the straw hole that runs through the lid.

Tiki Bob shot glass

A pair of GROG-made Tiki Bob salt and pepper shakers

GROG doing 10 Java Bobs in different individual colors, and then GROG going to break the mold. This is the first of the last 10.

GROG still have 5 of the original color GROG trying to fix and 5 of the second run with two-tone body GROG trying to fix. GROG think all of those are spoken for if they can be fixed.

What to do with a crappy Tonga Hut A.P.

How about a vase?

Stayed up late one night and crapped out a drawing to possibly make into painting for Moai Madness art show at Tonga Hut in July. GROG not paint in over 20 years, so GROG doubt GROG be able to get the painting done for the show since GROG busy working on event mug for "Goin' Primitive" and GROG need get ceramics done for Moai madness and Tiki Oasis as well as fill out some orders and get something up on ebay, too. Got a deadline to meet for getting some crap done for Tiki magazine as well.

Changed the mermaid's head to look at the Moai, and put it on in Photoshop to see if GROG like it better. May end up eventually doing a couple of versions of it. Might make the mermaid smaller, too. It'll get tweaked if/when GROG can ever get around to doing any more work on it.

Nice work, Grog! You really are a guuud drawer.

Thanks guys. GROG had done a few quick rough thumbnail color studies in Photoshop to help figure out lighting and mood. GROG not decide which way GROG want to take it yet. GROG may end up doing several versions in the end. That is** IF** GROG ever get around to doing any more with it.

(The colors/contrast looks a little different when GROG load it on TC, GROG not sure why)
