I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who likes it. While you can't exactly substitute it for other rum (though I did in a pinch once) Sailor Jerry definitely has its place. |

Funny, when I was working on it, I preferred Sailor Jerry as the spiced rum for this recipe, but for cost (and drunkard) reasons, I went with Voodoo. Plus The Sailor Jerry Preistess doesn't quite have the same ring.... |

Check out this site for some recipes... it doesn't have that many on it yet, but the ones that I've tried are really good. Some more interesting ones than the basics... and it looks like there will be more added soon. |

I made this Sailor Jerry's recipe for the Portland Scootiki art show (and for Tiki Kon): Scootiki Sling2 oz Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum Shake with 6oz crushed ice! (or blend for no more than 5 seconds with cube ice in a blender) |

Had one of the Colonel's "Scootiki Slings" at the art show, and it was damn tasty! Reminded me of one of those chocolate-covered cherry cordial candies |

this is a tasty exotic cocktail created by my beautiful and talented wife, and served at our last room crawl. the mixing is quite simple, but a bit of work lies in creating the macadamia nut rum; trader vic's macadamia nut liqueur will not provide the same result. try it, you might like it: |
