I've been to a couple of the luau brunches at Kona and the entertainment & food was great! (They looked like real Pacific Islanders to me!!!) :P You know Bill..When you interject the word "But" in a sentence it means that everything you said previous is a lie! Why don't you go and report back to us on the quality of the food and the entertainment? And take pictures while you're at it. I haven't seemed to have the problems you've had at events there. I guess I've been lucky! |

Bill...I agree with Soccer tiki. Don't knock it until you try it. Also, Kona is a fledgling Tiki establishment with a HUGE overhead in their first year, and in THIS economy. While I'm not in any way defending the way they handled the last event there that you're speaking of, I still think we should all support Kona, and the fact that they are trying to preserve the once great legacy of Sam's Seafood. Just consider the whitewashing that the Royal Hawaiian got, and then consider how Kona has stuck to it's Tiki roots. That's commendable, and they don't need frikken naysayers doling out criticism without ever seeing the product. Now, go to your room ! :x I'm sure the show and food will be top notch. Wow! gee whizz kids...30% maybe I should get a job slingin' spam at Kona... ok big spenders, guys & gals, cats & kittens, isn't that the same night as the Tiki Mag show? :( did I read right? i'd love to do both maybe Kona will make the luau a regular event & I will make the next Luau. I am bummed just a couple months ago Jim B. Tikiyaki & I were disguising how cool to have a real Luau on the floor. Sorry to miss it. |

All due respect guys...The Kona peeps are not Tiki Central Regulars. Remember, we are a microcosm unto ourselves in here. I'm sure they knew nothing of the Nov 21st Tiki Mag show. I'm guessing that Kona will be doing the Luau show again, at least semi-regularly, so you'll get to see it again, I'm sure. Hell, you can see it every Sunday with Brunch. Also, look for a big announcement for another Kona/Tikiyaki Extravaganza very soon. |

Yes. Don't know exactly what happened there, but I doubt there is any intention on the part of Kona to sabotage the Tiki Mag party. |
