Cool and Moody!
The skull with Fez is very sinister!
where can I get an illuminati lighter?
the lights and the Hula girl figure really
contrast with the skull, and the sword on the mug
is pointed at the skull...no clues on the fez...
..is this a swinging Shriner Dance....
or some Skull and Bonesman Initiation hazing party
at Forbidden Island? Thanks for showing these off!
I hope the exhibition goes well!

That's some cool stuff, Tikiking..... My kind of still life.

Thanks for posting.

TK

another, finished last night...

RH

Cool stuff, I like the detail of the label inside of the guitar.

Great prints Tiki King! I especially like the Tiki Fluke Ukelele one, since I own one of your hand painted ones. :)

I started processing a request for a print, but the checkout procedures forced me to create an account with that site, and looped around so I could never finish my PayPal payment to you. I don't like putting in passwords on an unfamiliar site, and have that website / software not be user friendly. You might want to reconsider using them, as I am reluctant to retry processing an order.

Good Luck! Hope to see you at Tiki Oasis with some prints!

Aloha,
Myke

TK

Thanks!
I did a bit of research on Imagekind, they are legit. They have been around for about three years, and have been getting good reviews. There are some other TC artists on there as well.
But, I know what you mean. I have stopped purchases from sights that didn't go smooth...
I can sell you a print, but I don't do framing.
Price would be $20+ shipping for and 11x14 or $40.00 plus shipping for a 16x20.
These would be high quality photo prints (not inkjet)on luster-matte or glossy paper
Cheers!

I just got an E-mail that Imagekind was bought by Cafepress.
They say they are going to stay "seperate" which I hope is true because I have heard less than rave reviews about cafepress art/poster prints. Cafepress has great printing on the other stuff though...

So I have been thinking about having prints made to bring Tiki Oasis. they would be on 16 X 20, heavy matte paper, and go for about $35-$40. But I wanted to gauge interest.
they would be of the paintings in posts above and
here are a couple of others...
"Eight to one"

"Skull with Fez 2"

Anyone interested?

Good stuff Pat. I like.

Wow, :o love all your work. But your velvets are my favorites. :D I'll take one of each, that is as soon as I strike it rich. :D

I like the new stuff - keep it up!

Thanks everyone! I do have some new velvets in the works, but I have been just in the obsessing mode with th' stretched canvas.

Here is a new one with an old element. I sold my other painting that featured the tattoo'ed skull, so I decided to do another one with the skull as the focus. So here is "Skull study"

TK, I had missed this thread of your work earlier. Great stills, I love the imaginative use of assorted props like the dirk and switchblade. The tattoo'd skulls are cool and you've really capture the glaze and dew on the mugs too.

TK

So in my other life, I tour around the country with a Celtic band, The Wicked Tinkers,
(https://tikicentral.com/uploads/245/4a5c95a6.jpgin on drums occasionally. Everyone knows me as Tiki King, and oddly enough I actually sell a fair number of Tiki's at these Scottish events. Part of the Kilt outfit is a small knife you wear in your sock called a "Sgian Dubh" (pronounced "skeen-doo") which is Gaelic for "Black Knife".
Here is a typical Sgian Dubh.

I decided I needed something a bit more "me", so here is my new Tiki Sgian Dubh.

unsheathed,

And then here I am with no pants on...
you can just barely see the Sgian Dubh in my left sock.

Slainte!

Holy Shit! The Wicked Tinkers!?!?! I LOVE you guys! Got a couple CDs. Caught you twice at the Highland Games in Vista.
For those who don't know them, I describe them as a 12th century Led Zeppelin! Loud and rockin on bagpipes and drums!

Cool knife, BTW.
Will you be vending at Oasis?

P

i've seen them, too. they play in vegas a couple of times a year.

TK

Thanks for the kind words!
Yep, I was at both Vista and Vegas this year. In Vegas, after the show on Fremont st., we went out to Frankies Tiki Room in our Kilts. It was a blast! stayed there till 4 am, which made the next day a little brutal.
Oh, and yes, I'll be vending at Oasis. See ya'll there!
