Hawaiian Rum

I just ordered a 3-bottle sampler from Haleakala Distillers a rum from Maui that is advertised on TC. Anybody have any experience with this rum? (That's right . . . ask AFTER ordering it, dummy!) Am I going to regret it?

The white rum is pretty good, but I used almost all of it as base for some other home-brew stuff.

The Gold is quite tasty and mixes well with everything i threw at it.

The Dark is the only disappointment, it tastes synthetic. Maybe in a dozen or so years when they have enough inventory to have a truly aged dark rum it will be better.

I ordered too...I am a sucker for the TC ads. :D

Thanks C&A . . . I had my suspicions about the dark since they're a relatively new distillery.

Hmmm . . . I notice Beachbum Berry makes no mention of the dark . . . hmmmmmmm. I guess two out of three ain't bad!
