371 American Eskimo Dogs Seized in Puppy Mill Raid ~ WA State

Pages: 1 5 replies

D

One of the largest puppy mill raids in the country just occurred in the Kennewick area, with some of the worst conditions officials have ever seen.

More than 370 miniature American Eskimo dogs were found living in shopping carts, wooden crates, and other makeshift kennels caked with feces and soaked with urine. Rescuers report that some dogs have matted coats, urine burns, and other health problems caused by their cruel living conditions.

Can you help? Adopt a puppy or dog? Foster Home? or donate money to defray costs of vet exams, spays & neuters?

A rescue fund through the American Eskimo Dog Assoc. has been established to cover the expenses for the dogs. IF there are any funds left after we get through this, we will donate the remainder to the American Eskimo account with Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue.

If you have any questions, please call Sherry Myers at 206.409.1443, or send me an email [email protected]

thanks Vamp!
ya know, im driving to Vallejo on Wednesday ~ i could totally drop off a puppy or two for you :)

seriously, your thoughts and donation mean a lot to me!

Aw, jeez that video breaks my heart. What a horrible thing - puppy mills. I rescued a scotty from a puppy mill, she was one of their breeding dogs and we loved that dog so much. Unfortunately she died 2 summers ago. One thing about resue dogs, they sure do love their new people and you can tell they're grateful.
These don't look like they don't get very big, I'll look up their temperment and see how they are with terriers (I still have a Westie). So I'll give you a maybe for now for one of the adult females. Are they getting spayed at the shelter before adoption? I'll check back with you.

My heart goes out to the pups!! There are so many. My emotional support goes out to the effort!! :(

That's a pretty sick way to make a quick buck. I don't get it. How much infrastructure does it really take to set things up a little more humane for animals? And who doesn't like taking some time out of their day to play with some puppies? Other than extremely sick people.
