For those of us who have had the pleasure of knowing and working with JP, know what a multi-talented guy he is. But, he's an even better person. Welcome to TC my friend!

I'm with Nick- nice indeed, in fact, PERPLEXING! Nothing like knocking into a kook like JP in the midst of the frenzied height of a Friday Oasis at Midnight only to be overwhelmed by JP's own energy & "coo-coo-ness"! Now stay here & share, man!!!

Glad you're now here JP, but for some reason it seems like you always were! Nevertheless, welcome.

welcome to the official members of this forum !
I look forward to read your threads about music, look at your amazing photos, hear stories, etc, etc...

Welcome JP! It seems like... it seems like... well, sometimes it seems like this board is heavily centered in California. An... that's OK I guess.

I'm all for this parade idea but not until Jonpaul has at least 3 posts.

Hi Everyone!

Thank you all so very much for the warm welcome!
I can almost feel the positive ohana mana coming right out of the screen!

I would have loved to have posted more within my first week, but got busy with
other things (TC's 10th Anniversary meet-up, Sam Gambino coming to town,
the Meshugga/Tomsco show at Don's, Deke's Guitar Geek Festival, meeting
with ZuluMagoo, rehearsing for the Tikiyaki gig in Palo Alto, conducting urban
archeological expeditions, etc.)

I am, however, in the process of editing photos from my archives, shooting, and
scanning in new material to share very soon, which will be posted in the
appropriate corresponding threads.

In the meantime, here's a little sample of the kind of things I'm hoping to share...
(this particular image is from a Barney West research project I've been working on for some time)

Thanks again!

Jonpaul

Ha!!!!

Jonpaul-caught you at the Tikiyaki Lei-over. Somehow it all clicked-I've admired you photography in various books and Tiki Magazine, but somehow I didn't connect the very talented photgrapher with the bass player with Tikyaki! Dang-you are one talented tiki dude!!! And since I've seen your name so many times realted to tiki, I just always thought you were on here! And now I read you are doing Urban Archeology?? Geez! What next! I can't wait to see the archives and the projects you have been working on!

Welcome to Tiki Central!
